This place was adorable and very kid friendly. There isn't a ton of parking in the lot, but I did notice some street parking. They have education sessions that are perfect for little kids. My husband and I really enjoyed walking through and we loved seeing the bald eagle. Our son is under two, so he was a little too young to understand anything, but he did have fun running around and looking at the animals. He was free since they only charge for kids 2 & older. We definitely plan on coming back when we visit the area again.

This is probably one of the best smaller wildlife encounters that I have been to in Northern California. They have so many unique animals. They're including the bald eagle and porcupine and all the reptiles as well. Definitely fun and informative for the whole family and what is really cool. Also, is the aviary outdoor exhibit.

Me and my husband came here a couple months ago to spend some time outside and not being stuck in the house. It was a really nice experience, everything was beautiful, there was a lot of different species to look at. I recommend this place to anyone who loves to explore.

What a magical and cute place for kids/families to hangout. Lindsay wildlife museum offers a great educational and recreational experience for kids, and families. Located on N Main St in Walnut creek right opposite Friends Church, it's very easy to commute and find parking spaces. You can park in the complex, on the streets and the church has additional parking for museum visitors.

Inside, you get to experience a lot of educational content about wildlife, see birds and small mammals in action. Some of the museum residents don't have the capability to survive by themselves in the wild - these precious beings need human help to survive and they double up to be ambassadors for the museum visitors.

We loved every single area in the museum with the favorite being the bald eagle, and guinea pig section. We saw bunch of bunnies, guinea pigs and they were adorable! Right next to the museum is a swim center, and a park. This park is super well maintained, has lot of play areas of kids, lot of picnic tables and is buzzing with activity. I highly recommend this gem in the east bay for families with kids!!! Very very productive and constructive experience.

Oh - the staff at Lindsay wildlife are AMAZING! They work super hard for the welfare of the animals are super passionate about it. A+++

It's not huge but it's awesome. Reminded me how much I like to go see real live animals. Staff are wonderful and probably only place where someone walked up to me proactively to ask if I had any questions or if I was curious about anything. I think it's awesome for a quick 2 hr visit with kids and there is a park nearby with a ayarra so can also have a picnic in the spring/summer. Down the street is a cute little coffee shop called roots. They carry interesting things and host local artists. Its tiny but fun.
