Innovations Community Center was launched in 2016 by On The Move in Napa, CA. A collaboration between Napa County, Mentis, and other mental health agencies, this was to be a place of learning, resources, inspiration, and healing. A place of refuge and help for those living with outpatient mental health issues. At first, it was a grand experience to walk the front door where everyone be knew your name and you were valued and helped. It is peer support.

Since OTM founder and coach Leslie left, and founding co-directors Denise and Sara have left, ICC has become a bare bones non-profit that has eliminated almost all of its iniatives that have greatly benefited the community it was created to serve. Even after the Covid-19 pandemic closed or reduced operating hours, ICC draws few new interests barely holding on to core participants (approximately 5). After a heyday of meeting OTM and county expectations, ICC serves now as more of an OTM internal meeting center and project based office space. And, it has decided, after 5 years, to reinvent the wheel and start over as a members only club. The people who opened ICC say they left to pursue other dreams or goals. Based on current operations, I purpose they jumped ship, not wanting to bear witness to the decline of ICC. A move borne by non-profit money allocation and monetary needs. What happened to actually helping the participants?

I went for restorative yoga helps with chronic pain. Stacey is a wonderful teacher making it enjoyable and helps when there is limitations.
