Awesome, awesome lodge. We showed up last year after a horrible treatment at the Elks up the road. We travel almost full time and have parked at hundreds of lodges as members. We showed up late after a long drive day and they were so welcoming! So we returned this year for an intentional stay. It’s like staying at a state park and the members are so welcoming ♥️ 30amp and water with an on site dump station. They seem to have a lot of events foing as well 🚌💨 #TeamShinemeyer

We camp here while visiting our family. I really enjoy the camp. It's very convenient, and who wouldn't like camping under the Redwoods. We're already planning our trip to Eureka, and I'll be staying there.

We had been camping for a week and we’re looking for a spot to camp at on the way home to Southern California. Since my wife and I are members of the Moose Lodge, we called ahead and reserved a spot to camp. The staff at Lodge number 636 couldn’t have been more accommodating and welcoming. We loved our experience and will definitely come back to visit! Thank you so much for having us!

It is my first time being a member. My family members have been members for 40 years. I learned to dance and shoot pool at this lodge as a boy. And at a time of need, the lodge has welcomed me openly. Thank you.

My husband was previously given the OK to use the camping bathroom facilities whenever he needed. Today I met him at the lodge to pick up a key as I'd locked myself out at home. Not 3 minutes into us parking, a woman came out and was super rude about us "hanging out" she said it's private property and we have to be members to be there. It had been 3 minutes and I was in my running car, seatbelt still on. I wasn't pulling out a picnic basket to eat on the lawn or anything. When I asked her if my husband can eat his lunch there she turns to me and says "he does every. freaking. day" then walked away. 😲 She had never talked to him about anything if she was not cool with him being there.

We had been contemplating becoming members but this 'loitering police' woman most certainly changed our minds in 3 minutes. Very poor communication skills and we felt super unwelcome, which was apparently her goal. 😕

We stop here every year since we stumbled on it. It has many campsites with water and electric hookup. Huge spot for tenting. Nothing like waking to the deer that pass thru daily. The lodge itself is very nice and has very friendly members.

Beautiful redwood setting, with large dance and dinning halls. RV hookups amongst giant redwood trees. The lodge has friendly dinning and social quarters, with very reasonable prices. The cost of membership,$50/year, is well worth the experience.
