I was able to get an emergency dental extraction with relative ease. I don't have insurance and my tooth was badly infected. Obviously not a pleasant experience but a necessary one so I'm grateful for that.
I will say I wish they had at least written me a prescription for some pain medication because once the local anesthesia wore off... ow!

They will have you wait in 9 to 10 months and take your money for the consultation just to tell you they don’t have the knowledge to represent you. Very upsetting waiting that long just to get a no; not enough knowledge here. With the immigration services.

So..they actually close at 2. But that didn't stop them from helping me when I showed up at 4 PM on a Friday afternoon with 2 kids. They were so kind to us. Thank you 💝

It's such a blessing to be able to choose what you want at a food pantry. There are nutritious options and enough variety to make complete meals. They also had diapers, baby wipes, and hand soap.

You do walk through a line, where the helpers explain your options and how many items you are allowed to grab.
So yes, they are watching you, but I believe they are just trying to make sure that there will be enough for everyone.

My only grievance is that I do not have a working can opener, and many of the products required one.
I am not sure how many other families are affected by this, but it would be nice if they had cans that didn't require a can opener. 🙂

Powdered milk, flour, and sugar would have been nice additions to the pantry. I've only been here once, and I do not know if they have different items each month.

This is a food pantry that makes sure everyone can get the items they need in order to serve nutritiously complete meals.
It is clear that a lot of thought, time, and care went into their food pantry, which operates more like a free grocery store.

I went for the first time today and was not sure what to expect when I arrived. I did not need to worry because the staff at the foodbank was very warm and understanding of my situation. The assistance by everyone there today was top notch.

Today 04/27/24…..I needed serious help with my gas utility bill, I didn’t have enough to fuel my gas and managed all the resources to get to this place, they were not helpful at all, after waiting several hours, they said my bill ticket was too long ago. I asked them to send whatever check to the ONG and not to me, they just gave all excuses. I feel so sad and depressed because my mother served/worked for the catholic diocese for over 20 years with meager pay, I attended catholic college myself. They are not helpful the needy and regretted going there. I feel it is just a show and not to really alleviate people who are in serious need of help. It has added to many of my reasons🥲
It’s really tough and rough.

This group receive federal funds to provide benefits for refugees and granted asylum, as federal websites says. But they don’t even talk to people, just turn them down. I don’t know about other services they provide, but this one division seems like a big scam - and it’s not only in Tulsa office but in other states, too.
