We couldn't be more grateful for the care we received while we were at our most vulnerable, suffering the loss of one of our dearly loved green cheek conures the day after Christmas.

The team was understanding and compassionate answering all of our questions about cremation options and what to expect, which made us feel more confident and at ease deciding next steps. Despite it being our first call/visit, we were also able to schedule a next day check up appointment for our other conure, to make sure he was ok and not injured or ill.

Finding a trustworthy avian vet specialist can be stressful and tricky, but we immediately felt we were in the best hands with Dr. Sweitzer who was extremely attentive and patient and knowledgeable.

The rates for the services were transparent and lower than I expected. In fact, we were accidentally undercharged at the desk and they waved it off without fuss, making us feel their priority was putting us and our pets first. Thank you all so much again, we look forward to always bringing our feathered family members here for the best care. 🙏

Amazing exotic vet team. I come here all the time for my pet rats, even though the drive is a bit far away. Dr. Sweitzer and Dr. Smith are both very knowledgeable on rats, and have helped me out through multiple rat visits. It helps that both vets have had pet rats before, which is a relief to know that they know what it’s like. A special thanks to Dr. Sweitzer for handling my rat’s surgery. Highly recommend this vet team for those with exotics!

Really awesome vet! I had taken my ball python, Pandora, to 2 different vets prior to Moorpark, and was desperately looking for a vet that could help her. The staff here is incredibly kind and compassionate! Pandora was seen by Dr. Sweitzer, and he immediately put us at ease! He had no problem taking his time and working with her to finally figure out what was causing her pain and discomfort. We’ve definitely found our forever vet for Pandora as well as our other reptiles in the family!

Great staff very attentive and efficient. Our first experience was with our first dog and after he passed away, they were very helpful for completing his final steps and getting us a really beautiful memorial package. Our new dog got a great check up and looking forward to keeping her healthy with the great staff at Moorpark Vet Hospital.

i had my snake aquamated through moorpark vet, and all of the staff were incredibly accomodating and caring throughout the entire process. responses and callbacks were fast, and it took me just over 2 weeks to receive my ashes, which were thoughtfully packed along with a cute wooden plaque with my snake’s imprint on it and a certificate. the process was so smooth which really eased me, and i couldn’t recommend them enough.
the aquamation itself was done through peaceful pets aquamation, which is where moorpark vet does all of their aquamations, so i also absolutely recommend them as well.

We're new to this Vet, and unfortunately, we've already had to visit 3 times in a short amount of time. Fortunately, they have been absolutely phenomenal with addressing my concerns. They are also super patient and kind with my dog, who can be more than a little hesitant around new people. Fingers crossed that we keep are visits down, but I'm happy to have found a vet that I feel confident in.

The entire staff is so wonderful. They are caring, patient and interested in helping. They seem like a group of people who like their jobs, which is hard to find these days. Dr. Sweitzer was so amazingly compassionate when we had to make hard choices with our beloved Waffles. We've never had a vet that was so worried about our pet and us. My wife and I been to many vets with our 2 Bichons throughout the past 14 years ~ some providing "average" service, and most with less than stellar service, who seem to care far more about charging to unnecessary treatments than actually doing what's really in the best interest of our 2 small family members.

But, I have to say our experience with Dr. Schwartz and his entire staff was OFF THE CHARTS and pleasantly unexpected. The level of service and care we received was surprisingly thorough and OUTSTANDING IN EVERY WAY.

We have never had a Veterinary Doctor take the time to actually explain to us [in simple English] how to best treat the symptoms one of our pets presented, nor has any Veterinary Clinic ever offered to give us a "behind the scenes" tour of our back office.

We think their attention to detail regarding our pet's issue was outstanding, and are very happy to offer them 5 STARS!
