This was my second time asking this agency for help. The first time they helped me with a power after just moving to Anniston.
I recently lost my job and needed help on a light bill this month. Instead of being kind and helping me navigate a crisis situation or even being sympathetic in how she handled my case that old lady all the way in the back office treated me like another rag doll off the street. Her demeanor was so rude all because I can’t put my child father on child support because I can’t contact him. She didn’t even offer any other resources that could help me or my child while I look for a new job (which I start soon and will be back in my feet). She makes a person feel so small when it already takes a lot to ask for help and that’s not ok. If your young and strung out on luck go some where else because she will not be kind in helping you. Everyone else in the office super sweet and sooo helpful. Her I wouldn’t offer a glass of water if she were thirsty in hell. She treated me like this 2 times so I’m not overreacting.

they are terrible i was there all day for them to tell me they couldnt help me with my rent. they would rather people be homeless then help anybody. if anything this place is a scam! couldnt help me or give me any resources because i go thru a private landlord

Honestly couldn’t get over how RUDE the director was. She talked to me like I wasn’t a human being. People go there seeking help and being talked to like that doesn’t help any situation. I definitely recommend any other place BUT this place!!!!!!

I wish I could give them a negative star because of Beverly Hill the director is rude and they ask you to many questions just to turn you down. I will never come here again until they change the director. Being a religious organization should have compassion for people not beat them down but uplift the individuals.

Went there to have a bill paid and they called the gas company and made a pledge to pay by the 23 of may and did not actually pay the bill. Went there another time to have my power bill paid and they told me they would only pay half. I thought this place was supposed to help, not allow your services to get cut off or go based off how they personally feel about you. I feel sorry for anyone who has ever been there and was discriminated against.people come here for help.not just because they want to. I think if the main person you speak to about help with your bill heart is not really in doing for others, this is not the correct job for you. Something needs to be done. You don’t treat people like that.

Staff was very rude and made me feel very uncomfortable . Appeared to be very racist in my opinion. Gave one small box of food that is supposed to last three months. Just altogether unpleasant experience.
