This hostel is amazing! The shared spaces are clean, comfortable and very attractive. The kitchen facilities and kitchenware provide everything you need for food storage and meal preparation.
The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The parking lot is convenient. The outdoor spaces are very nice for enjoying warm weather.
The hostel location is ideal for exploring Monterey.

This was one of my best hostel experiences! During my stay, the hostel was fairly empty, which made for a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. A great perk is that from Sunday to Wednesday, parking on the premises is free—and even on other days, I had no trouble finding a free parking spot nearby.

Another nice touch is the availability of free food leftovers, which can be a great bonus for travelers. The hostel itself is brand new, and the staff are incredibly friendly and full of helpful information about things to do in the area.

Staff was SO friendly, room was super clean and comfortable, and the decor was super cute. Kitchen was fully stocked with supplies/dishes/utensils you need to cook. I stayed here with my husband, 5 yr old, and 2 yr old and it was nice to have a communal space after the kids went to bed. Great place if you're a solo traveler or a family. Location is great since it's walking distance to so many places. Wish there were more places like this!

Lovely place to stay! Very clean, good lighting, family friendly, walking distance to Starbucks and other food, beach, etc... and has its own big parking lot which does cost $10 on certain days, I believe Thur-Sun. They have complimentary tea and coffee, plenty of cooking gear, etc... fridge space where you can put your name, pantry space, and a "free bin" of food from previous hostel guests.

The shower got really warm and you use it by pushing it and it flows for a certain amount of time until you press again. I like how they are environmentally conscious and put reminders to conserve water. Unlike many hostels they have soap and toiletries available if you need it!

Plenty of games, cozy living room type space, big wooden table for working or dinner, outdoor seating area with a grill.

It's so nice they have complimentary yoga and other fun events every week!

Definitely a great spot to stay that's easy going, comfortable, and so clean.

As nice a hostel as one could find.
VERY clean
Nice people, nice atmosphere.
We took a private room and it was great,
with private bath and sink.
The shared kitchen was clean, great and easy to use.
The kitchen and other areas have nice, modern innovative appliances.
Quiet time starts at 10.
There is street sweeping noise, thin walls and a loud refrigerator. That said, it is not too noisy for a downtown hotel .
There are many good places along
Lighthouse St. to eat and shop.
First Awakening Cafe nearby is GREAT.
It's a short walk to the aquarium and tourist trap.
Cannery Row does have some good food and music.
We will go back.

The hostel was Fantastic. The staff was wonderful. Ryan, the proprietor, is very kind and accommodating. The facilities are top-notch and the location can’t be beat. It was extremely clean, kind and comfy!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this hostel. It was very clean, affordable, and did not resemble what would normally be expected of a hostel. This location is hard to beat as it is just a couple of blocks away from Cannery Row. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

We had a really lovely time here. Immaculately clean, friendly people, and calm atmosphere. Well-stocked kitchen and quiet at night. Walking distance to cannery row and a business district but not right on the main drag. Perfect stay! Thank you Ryan and Co!
