I will only donate here. There are families living onsite who are in direct need of clothing, hygiene supplies and food.
I enjoyed volunteering with the children at most risk and I know it’s going to be used and appreciated. Not just like goodwill who claims non profit success stories but don’t even pay their employees with fairness or integrity. Money hungry thieves.
Drive around to the end of the street and pull into the round about. They have men come and help you unload, they appreciate the articles and will be able to make a child/family happy.
Thank you rescue mission for what you instill and allow for the people in our community who need it and willing to make changes in their life for self sustainability

The volunteers/ staff here are always courteous and friendly. I’ve been here on multiple occasions to donate clothing and household items and never had an issue. Everyone is so nice.

I am a volunteer for a Homeless ministry. A helpless woman came to me and ask me where she can go to receive help to get off the streets; decent food, and better living conditions. I told her to go to the Orange County Rescue Mission. They turned her down because they asked her for too much personal information of which she did not even have a California ID. This has become a problem with most homeless people who cannot get help from a non- profit mission to help low income people. Its a real travisty!

This programic place is not the problem. We are the problem and we will always be the problem if we are not willing to give up who we were before the orange county rescure mission. This is a program that has the objective into changing individuals, families, singles, married couples into hardworking "Christians" or "Christian like" people who will not just think for themselves but for their communities at all times. You cannot do it on your own. You will not be able to do it on your own so you must undergo a change. One that will strip you of who you once were, doesn't matter the good qualities you had before, doesn't matter the changes you succeded through your life before aside from your mistakes, You made a commitment into allowing a program to reprogram you into the desired fit. You will be tired, anxious, mad, depressed, challenged everyday because instead of working on the person that God has created within you, you rather be programed.
I understand the changes of homelessness but here if you arnt willing to surrender your identity before the mission, you will be waisting alot of time. Considering you will eventually end up going back where you started, which is spirit breaking especially for families with kids.
I dare you to enter the program and to fight everyday to remain who are in what makes you... You, in a positive way. A way that promites life and everything that goes against, anger, depression, anxiety, lust.
Wealthy donors give to this place consistently for their succession on programing "us" they way that they do. We are molded into life sources for the people around us, for we are no longer the leaders of our own lives commiting to these kind of programs.
I've been here just about a year and the last words from my case managers of my departure was, "we decided you are no longer a good fit for the program, you are asked to leave with 15 minutes on the clock.
Don't take this place personal. It's just business.

Clean. Friendly. Easy. My new favorite spot for donations. Couldn't find the donation hours online so snapped a pic.

It's nice to give to a place where ubcan see kids playing in a nice playground on site. They need more, but they have a start.

I don't usually review places but this place is an absolute nightmare. All the 1 star reviews on here are true. This "shelter" might as well be a jail. I understand how it could possibly help a single person who has been a life long addict with no direction in life but this is no place for families. They will literally force you to withdraw your children from whatever school they are enrolled in to have them attend "their school", which is an absolute joke of an "education". Not to mention not being able to leave the property and having no choice but to give up your cell phone and any device that allows you to have any communication with anyone outside of the program . Even people in prison are allowed cellphones, free time, and the opportunity to buy food they choose for goodness sake! Not here. Good bye freedom, cellphones, and any decent unexpired meal. You're practically a modern day slave all in the name of "ministry services".
Any family would be better off with illumination foundation or pathways of hope.

Ever wonder if there are charities out there that aren't just distributing handouts, but actually teaching individuals and families how to get back on their feet? This is that place.
