I've been trying to find a place since the end of July 2024. I'm a totally disabled 61 year old and I got so sick of my phone calls not being returned, I went down to the Kissimmee Housing Authority office to find out why I haven't gotten a return call. When I arrived there were 5 women behind the desk, 1 was on the phone, 4 were leaning up against the back wall talking while the telephones were ringing and ringing. Not one of those 4 women moved when I walked in, the girl on the phone said we will be right with you. I spoke up, excuse me will someone else please assist me. Finally, one of the other women came over to me and was really perturbed I asked for someone to come over to help me. I asked them about section 811, Housing Choice Vouchers for the Disabled and she told me that the waiting list was only open every 4 years. She blamed it on HUD. Then I asked her to look up my name in there system to find out what number I was on Kissimmee Housing Authority's waiting list and she told me I was no longer in the system. I asked why and I was told if they couldn't reach me then I would be dropped out of the system. I never got a text message, an email or a phone call from them ever. She gave me some paperwork that I can't use and I left. So much for putting the disabled people in with seniors, so we don't have to be a target for the children, which don't have any supervision from parents and run ramped through the apartment complexes. I raised my children and I don't want to have to deal with others children. The only way I can get a place is by low Income Housing based on income. I really hope that will be in with seniors or 55 and above. I agree with the others that are asking for the audit from an outside source to find out where all the money has gone and to whom it has been given too.

Godless people. Emailed them weeks ago. Was sent a link that goes nowhere. And yes, I created an account. Called various times and no one in that office returns calls. Then went in person yesterday just to be blown off by the woman up front, even though I repeatedly told her that if someone could help me. My daughter's school social worker referred me to this place for what? Me and my 3 special needs kids will be homeless in a week because we cannot afford a security deposit. And this place could care less. I will be writing commisioners and the govenors office about the joke that is this office and the lack of compassion . May God forgive them.

They suck ! Went into the location at Kissimmee the front desk worker was very rude as I told her so myself . Have been waiting since Monday beginning of the month calling them and emailing with no response

I'm deeply concerned about my recent experience with this organization. Approximately two weeks ago, I reached out to seek rental assistance. Initially, I received an application and promptly submitted it. However, since then, I have not received any further communication despite multiple emails and phone calls. It's incredibly frustrating and disappointing that an organization meant to assist those in need would leave applicants in the dark after seemingly indicating a processing of their application. This lack of follow-up feels unjust and unprofessional.

I waited three or four weeks before I got an answer for my rental assistance. I own a mobile home, but I rent the land. They paid my rent for over six months during the pandemic. Thank you so much I am grateful.

If you fail inspection they will give you a day or few days before they stop paying you. Been trying to request rent increase form for the last 6 months and been ghosted
