I understand the county deals with millions of people (not on a daily basis) but I don't understand why the system is outdated. When calling the automated number to schedule a appointment still make me talk to a worker knowing the que is full,so what's the point of going in, waiting for 4-5hrs just for something that's only takes 5-10mins is mind blowing. Last time I went in I waited up to 5 hrs almost until closing time.. whole day gone just waiting and it took 5-10mins and I was already out. I'm just complaining why isn't there a faster system with the current technology already with A.I technologies. Feels like SB is behind compare to other counties.

This place is like a high school with adults running it. I have always had a job and recently needed ebt due to being a mother and not having a mom to watch my child while I work and now need assistance. I spoke on the phone twice to complete my SAR7 and the lady put an old address , and they both never turned in my paper work because when I went to get my card printed they informed me my application was never received. I had to wait in line for two different numbers because the ladies that check you in are too busy flirting with security. A gentleman upfront seemed to be the only one with any sign of intelligence.. I just left yesterday and filled everything I had to and was sent a text that my SAR 7 was completed but now they’re calling me because something AGAIN was missed. The experience was unprofessional and disorganized and I wonder how much taxes were taken from schools and health care to support and make these buildings. On top of that the ladies who we’re doing the ebt cards yesterday were making me wait purposely and I don’t know what for when I heard someone say they removed me from the line . Treat people better .

Every time I come here the front desk, security, and overall case workers are always so friendly. They are very attentive and are always in a good mood. They treat me with respect and know exactly how to direct me to the help I require. I never mind coming here because I always have a great experience.

This morning I met the nicest, most helpful lady at this 4th Street office. I didn't get her name, she is working out of one of the the 2 or 3 windows to the left of the waiting area.I was there to try and resolve a amount issue that was 1 to 2 years old, and not only did we find the misinformation and fix it(benifits were already on the card today) She did not make me feel like a criminal or worse. For this lady... My dear, you do your job with grace and a kindness that today is exactly what one worried,tired,72 year old man needed. Thank You. There may still be hope for this battered U. S .A.

When I don't receive My calfresh benefits when I am supposed to i call and it always takes a very long time just to talk to a worker . Or if the line is full of callers it will just tell me to try again at a different time . It's so inconvenient And I've been having this problem with not receiving my calfresh benefits for about 3 - 4 months it's ridiculous. When I am able to talk to worker they tell me that they'll send an email and for me to wait up to 24 hours but , usually Iend up having to call back the next day because I still don't receive them and the. The situation just repeats itself I t will take about 2 weeks for them to finally issue my benefits . And if i had not received them for the previous month they won't issue me all thate months benefits , just for one month .

It stinks like Sobacos. They need to not only sanitize their work area but the lobby too. It's a county office & the state can't pay to keep it clean? People that smell like sobacos isn't their fault, but cleaning it is!
