Their food bank is run poorly. The people in line are
not properly vetted as I observed each family member
requesting food. Some brought their adult children,
compas and Sancho's j/k just seemed sketchy. One of
the workers announced something in Spanish only
catering to those who spoke Spanish. I observed
behind me their was Asians and other non Spanish
speaking so I requested her to explain in English. She
stated that the frozen chicken was not separated still
in a box. And that you will have to ask for the chicken
ok so my turn finally comes up and I ask for chicken
and guess what they told me they ran out! On my
ticket How convenient maybe since I spoke up. So not
to sound ungrateful, but they tried to make up for it
by tossing some cans in my cart some which fell on
the floor. Also an extra pack of expired entemanns
donuts. Yay for me. So basically I waited. 90 minutes
for cans of food and old donuts I wouldn't even feed
to pigeons. As I went to my car I overheard a woman
who had received some chicken who was in front of
me. This is the one that allegedly brought 7 family/
friend members to another set of family group in
Spanish did you get the chicken so we can sell
tamales? I thought food banks were for the needy not
small enterprises! So as I think they need a better
system to provide food to those truly in need. Too bad
they weren't giving out tortas this is only my observation.

Because of places like these I never trusted to take any of my children to a daycare. I needed to post a review on this exact location the people who are employed here are completely incompetent lazy and there’s so much neglect going on the stories I’ve heard from a source inside are so messed up there’s abuse to other children from another child named Abdallah beats children every single day punching kicking scratching and even biting them. The SUPERVISORS both have been made aware of this and done nothing. The other children don’t even participate in choice time and playground because they are afraid of him yesterday he poured water on a little girl while she slept. This boy from what I’m told seems to have an anger problem or mental issues and his mother seems to have the supervisor in her pocket because she always tells the parent of this boy it’s ok when there’s an incident and I hear it’s because Abdallahs mom gifts her all the time. It’s very sad n heartbreaking to know children are being abused here while the people who are supposed to be protecting them and teaching them stand by n allow it I can only imagine what we don’t know about Mexican American Opportunity Foundation DONT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE

Maof needs to oversee the professionalism of their employee. Front desk receptionist very rude and sarcastic. It was my first time attending this location and assumed where each department was and looked at me in a disrespectful way.

Not dependable.
5 months and still no childcare. Not only is that inconvenient for me but for the childcare provider that held a spot for my child for FIVE MONTHS.
We gave them the paystubs, they then need more current ones because after time passed they can’t use those.

They don't answer voicemails or emails, not even for an update.

They need their work ethic and professionalism reevaluated. I do not recommend. I’ve worked with another program before and it was nothing like this.

I've never dealt with service like this before in my life! They're nothing like Pathways or Crystal Stairs (businesses who actually aim to get you as much help as possible) They never answer the phone, and by a miracle if someone actually decides to pick up they Automatically transfer you to a voicemail of someone who never comes to work. All I want is childcare for my children, so that I may continue to WORK and PROVIDE for them. The employees who work there could care less about your situation, and their attitude is the total opposite of what they should've been hired to do. HORRIBLE!!!!!

I called to get information on an program application and the lady put me on hold for a long time then ended up clicking on me so I called back right away and nobody answered me and I kept leaving her voicemails to call me back and never received one phone call from her. Until a week later I decided to come in and mentioned this to the lady and her answer was "it's because I'm busy and I have a lot of work but you could always leave me a voicemail. " so pathetic!! They need to hire new staff who are dedicated to help out people and explain what's going on with your paperwork throughly not just tell you "not yet". I'm not saying this "Lady" doesn't work but she needs to put more effort into her clients.

This place has horrible service. I called the front desk and they transferred me to someone but immediately went to voicemail. Left my name and number and they never called me back. It’s been two weeks. I would say to look for a better program to help.
