5/5 stars! This organization gave me support during a time that seemed hopeless. Marco is an excellent/experienced lawyer who truly knows what he’s doing. He decided to help me only a few days before my court date out of the kindness of his heart with very realistic advice/expectations (it later got extended so he had more time to help). Before this.. I was calling every nonprofit in the Bay Area for weeks and was declined or redirected. API legal outreach was the first and only organization to respond quickly, do what they could for me and eventually made the decision to lend a helping hand. I was desperate, and at the time was going to have to represent my self so I’m extremely grateful for the help I received. Their response time was impeccable, Marco and his colleagues Aivy and Telesia helped a lot and responded very promptly to any questions I had. They were extremely professional as well as honest about all the details of my case. They were also incredible at preparing for my court date. If you want honest, professional, empathetic and patient help then choose API legal outreach. Words cannot express how much my family and I will forever be grateful for this organization, more specifically Marco, Aivy and Telesia.

This review is long overdue. What Api legal possesses, perhaps their most valuable asset, is a young Attorney named Marco Samson. Marco represented me about a year ago when I was facing eviction. The situation seemed absolutely hopeless, as I was facing trumped up charges and the legal team of a multi million dollar corporation. Against these almost impossible odds, Marco completed an almost untouchable legal victory. Not only was the eviction dismissed, he had them return my security deposit. It was a complete victory, and Marco completely covered when the other attorney made a mistake, he was completely the superior of the two. Let’s be clear that the other attorney completely lacked integrity, was disrespectful, unresponsive and tried to really work at the margins of what is even legal, contrasted with Marco’s excellent, honest work, where he treated his peer and everyone else with the utmost respect. I just want to also add that not only is Marco as sharp as a razor, he is compassionate and caring and has a genuine interest in the well being of his clients. At least he did in my case, he was there often just to hear me out and what I was going through. His professional development is worth keeping an eye on because there is no place he can’t go, and I’m sure I will see him someday as a politician or in some sort of regional leadership position. All in all, I had a great experience being represented by API legal, due in large measure to Marco’s excellent work.

I cant say its a bad place but some of lawyers are bad. I mean too bad. Lack of cooperation for sure. They dont really care your case and act arrogant bcz for free of charge.
My case was started with Christine Hoang and it went smooth n super good. But since my case transferred to Nancy, process just stopped.Nancy never gonna answer your email or scheduled phone call.

We wanted apply for green card and lawyer asked high cost. Eventually I found this place, I wasn’t even sure they will contact me back, but they did. I received my green card after one year and my son also. Very hard working organization and we have to understand many of them just volunteers. It might take time but they will complete all documents with great responsibilities. I am recommending all my friends who need a help with legal problems. Thanks

If I could, I would give it no star for this place. I called for my DV case. The assistant told me she would pass my case to an attorney and call me back in a week. Three weeks passed. Nothing happened. When I called them back, the assistant told me she couldn’t find my case file and will call me back ASAP. She called me back in a hour to tell me they cannot take my case and refer me to Bay Area Legal Aids. Wow!! I wasted 3 weeks for nothing. I know these people are underpaid and overworked but they took 3 weeks to tell me they cannot take my case. Wow!!! Better to get a private attorney. It might cost a lot but it would be faster.

The lawyers in this place do not do competent work. They do not answer calls. They do not reply to emails. They simply do not communicate with clients. Don't go to this terrible place unless you want to lose your case. Both the managing attorney Akiko Takeshita and the immigration supervisor Louella Sugui should be disbarred.
