I applied for emergency assistance an ive never received it ever a lady named Susan called me an I must say she was the most mean heartless person I have ever encountered I am a cancer survivor asthma machine diabetic an I begged literally for help pleaded very kindly because I'm literally on beg an knee this lady talk to me like a dog an hung up in my ear as I beg if I wasn't as strong that woman could have caused me to give up literally evening writing this my hurt is so hurt at how mean she was I pray that God puts me in a position to help others so they never feel how I felt to Susan I pray for you that you could be so heartless an mean the grant is 600 dollars I needed 342 I'm just baffled confused an shocked by the heartless ness in her tone I pray no one ever experience this woman at there lowest shame on you

With my job, I frequently bring people here for assistance. Although there are extremely long wait times (can be 3+ hours) when they are finally seen but the people working there are usually the only thing positive about this place.

I been trying to reach someone for months . I fill out the application out in may it’s September . I had 3 phone Conference . I turn in all my work . Everytime I go down to this place nothing is happening. No communication or anything they tell me just wait someone will call , 30 day later . now I had to do the application all over again . I go down there again . I talk to staff they said someone will call in 24 hours never do . I never received anything . I called they don’t answer I go down again just to fill out and application again still nothing. Just sit and wait with them . Never use to be this way at all . I always do my part and I feel like I’m getting spin in circles instead of staff reaching out and communicating. I understand the pandemic Change things but 5 months and still not receiving anything or etc . This is ridiculous.

Although the wait was very long from waiting for my number to be called to then waiting for the case manager to call me, all the employees i have interacted with were very helpful and polite. The security guards were nice, the clerks at the desk were helpful and quick. When i finally got to a case manager, he was very helpful in explaining how everything works, what’s needed of me and what I can get help with. I’m just happy to report i had a better experience than i have read and heard about from others coming here.

You get lucky if you get to deal with someone nice here. It's pretty crazy, they have a bad attitude problem, never answer the phone, and seem to have no interest in helping. My case manager yelled at me on the phone multiple times and bashed people with crying kids that were waiting in the office while i was on the phone with her. They all have a very I don't care attitude and demeanor. The only people i had a good experience with here was the security, the man and lady were very sweet and caring and helpful.

Never helped Me. Never helped my Husband and never have him an interview for his foodstamps. Why should my husband after 15 days call social services just to remind them how to do there job since they do it wrong every time. They cut my mother off of food stamps and trying to cut more people everyone that works for DSS deserves to go to Hell.

My mother tried redetermining for food assistance and was supposed to have a phone interview but didnt know when. She got a letter in the mail stating her phone appointment was 4 days prior through my cell phone. SS said they called and i have my call log and they NEVER called the day they were supposed to and now every time she calls, they say wait 10 days and repeat it every 10 days when she calls. Families need food and this runaround is BULLS**T.

If I could give -10 stars I would. EVERY TIME I CALL NO ANSWER, literally sit on the phone for an hour for them not to answer, the sh@t is frustrating and can’t never get anything done. When ppl need help I see why ppl rather starve then deal with you guys because even in person you guys don’t care to even listen!
