I do not live in government housing but I do receive a voucher and live in a privately owned apartment. I found the women in the office to be very friendly and helpful and since an apartment inspection is required to receive a voucher, that procedure was explained and handled very good. If you are interested in apartments they do have openings from time to time and I would suggest visiting and doing the follow-through.

I love it here at Camellia Court Apartments. It is a few months shy of a year. Most everyone has been friendly, helpful, and kind. My apartment is nice and comfortable, but most of all I feel safe here. I feel Blessed to have been able to find a place here in Oneonta. I'm looking forward to the upcoming year here.
This year the OHA has started using a lawn service, I'm so impressed with this service. They don't just mow, they weed eat, they edge, and they blow the grass clippings off the porches and sidewalks. This has made my outside time more enjoyable, and more pleasing. I love it here in Oneonta. Keep up the great work, and thank you for taking care of this renter. Looking forward to another year here at OHA.

I have lived at 23 Hillcrest Circle for six years now.
The maintenance department deserves alot of credit they keep my yard as beautiful clean cut, no matter how hot the days get. Just this morning I had a problem with my air and within 30 minutes they were here to fix it.
The ladies in the office are so good to me when I have had a problem they definitely take the time to fix it.
I feel safe and have a great place to live that I am proud of.

I have lived at the Camellia apartments a couple time's. I have had a good experience. The only thing I have wandered is the rule's are put in place to follow. Example yard's and porches are to be kept clean and clutter free so the maintenance people can cut the yard's. If you have 1 or more yard's that's not clutter free it makes the rest of the complex look nasty and too me that turn's people away. My opinion only. Rule's should be for everyone in the complex whether family related or not.
For the most part people tends to stay to their self but you do have some like ever where else likes to put their nose and cause trouble for other innocent people.

Me and my mom lived in one of the apartments run by the housing authority of oneonta , and found the people who run it to be kind and professional. We had nothing but a good experience over the 7 years we lived there.

Wow so make sure when you fill paperwork out and have the lady’s there help make sure you list any arrests you ever been arrested for on or off record they told me to not list the ones that was dismissed but then denied me because of it I have 3 kids and need the help I think that lady needs to get in trouble for this it’s not fair to my kids
