No one answers the phone. You have to leave a message and someone MAY call you back if they feel like it. Asked me a lot of time personal questions about my brother and then said they couldn’t talk to me. What?!! My Questions were general and could be applied to anyone. Had my disabled brother call and he is still waiting for a callback after 2 weeks. Very disappointing 😞

This organization is wonderful. I got help with renting a room a few years ago then recently got help again when I moved. You can get help every few years if you take time to gathers your facts and papers, proof , or whatever they require. It does depend on if they have funding at the time. The staff could use a bit of sensibility training, they are great but can make a person feel bad about their situation at times. But I appreciated their help.

I was approved for housing assistance twice. I did everything they required. I gave them all the information they asked for.
When I call Eva back, she acted as though we had never spoken.
I am told by Angela that Columbia Gem is not permanent housing. Really? There are residents have been here more than 10 years.
I have asked for just an overnight stay in a motel 1 night to take a shower during hot weather. I was told there is no funds. Where did the 8 million dollars go that I read was to benefit people that need a hand?
I know of people that have been in motels for months. So I go to ATCAA to request and appointment with one of the ladies I had been talking to. Lisa from a different department that had to do with home weatherization came out. She asked what I wanted. I said fair and equal treatment. She gave me a broucher about a plane ride to leave the area.
This had nothing to do with my approved housing application. I asked Lisa if she knew my name. She did not. I was already approved, twice, yet to get what I was told I would get is a far cry from a plane ride to somewhere else. Be on the streets in a place I do not know with nothing? That's the solution you have for an approved applicant Lisa? You don't even work in the department where my application was approved and deny me an appointment with the ladies in that department and want to send me away. Where did the money go instead of using it for it's intended purpose? And why send me away with nothing when my application was approved twice? I worked my whole life and paid taxes. For the first time in my life of nearly 58 years, I ask for some help and Lisa wants to put me on a plane to nowhere, with nothing.. Then they want me to give a review? Where did the millions in finding go when I can get no help whatsoever? So what was I approved to receive? The run around because that is all I have been given after my application approval.
ATCAA review... FAIL

Such a shame that they have such a horrific receptionist by the name of Izea who clearly has some type of inferiority complex.

I called three weeks ago and kindly asked if I could please have a list of all the local food banks sent to me as I am a very low income widow. He was very rude on the phone. And, of course, I never received a thing in the mail. The second time I called, I asked to speak with the food bank director and he gave me a number to call and said to me, "You can't just call him because you feel like it. You have to have a reason." So rude, unprofessional and non productive. Whatever this person's problem is, it's not me.

So, anyone who calls and get through to the reception in the Sonora office by the name of Izea, first expect for him to be rude to you for no reason, and secondly expect to get no help or results after speaking with him. There's nothing like truly needing help and calling just to have someone treat you like you're worthless.
