“I cannot say enough good things about this hospital. We have been here multiple times, and every single experience has been exceptional. From the moment we walk in, the staff is warm, professional, and attentive. Every department we’ve interacted with has been efficient, caring, and thorough.

The doctors and nurses go above and beyond to ensure that patients feel comfortable and well taken care of, explaining everything clearly and treating everyone with respect. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, which adds to the overall sense of trust and comfort.

It’s rare to find a place where every visit is consistently outstanding, but this hospital has achieved that. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for excellent care. Thank you to the entire team for your dedication and kindness!”

Most of the staff is wonderful. I would have given 5 stars until my phone charger went missing after my fiancé’s room was changed. They got everything moved that I left in his old room into his new room except the charger. By the time I got back to the hospital the charger that had been plugged in was gone and someone else was being put into the room.Only someone on the staff could have taken it and to not return it when family are patients are already going through so much is heartless. Salary can’t be that low.

Being admitted to the hospital was a strange one for me. Other than the birth of my children I never spent the night in a hospital and the last time was in 1984, the birth of my last child. The staff helped me with as many assurances as they could. The nurses kept me calm and answered my questions when necessary. All in all my stay was without problems.

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at Dignity after dislocating my shoulder. I was checked in promptly, had my vitals taken, and was placed in the hallway, where I expected to be seen quickly. However, I ended up waiting for four hours in agonizing pain with minimal care.

Initially, I was offered ibuprofen, which did nothing to ease my severe discomfort. As my pain worsened, I begged for help, and only then was I given stronger pain medication, which helped slightly but did not relieve my suffering. During this time, I was visibly in distress—my arm was literally dangling out of its socket, with my head pressed against the wall, trying to cope with the unbearable pain.

Despite the severity of my condition, the staff showed a complete lack of urgency and compassion. I felt ignored and was only noticed when I was crying out for help. There were not many patients in the hallway that night, and I even saw others who clearly didn’t need urgent care receiving attention before me. After having my X-rays done, I expected to be seen promptly, but nothing happened for hours.

I chose Mercy Hospital because I live in Atwater, and it was the closest option. But after the way I was treated, I will never return to Dignity Health. I felt neglected and dehumanized during what should have been an emergency response. Frustrated and still in severe pain, I left and went to Turlock Emanuel, where I was seen immediately and finally received the care I needed.

This experience was beyond disappointing—it was dangerous and unacceptable. I hope Mercy Hospital addresses these serious issues because no patient should be forced to suffer for hours, ignored, and in agony, especially in an emergency setting.

The staff is amazing. They made me feel comfortable and safe while prepping me for surgery. I was very overwhelmed with so many people waking around and the patients all over. I did love how the surgery center ran when it was in the pavilion. As a patient you were more comfortable and at ease.

Thank you Ariel, RN in the ED for the exceptional care and compassion you provided my mom.

Adam, I appreciate the incredible job you did placing her IV. You are very skilled and professional. You made it look easy when so many struggled.

Maria, ED tech. Thank you for bringing laughter and joy to our day. I appreciate the great attitude you had after mom refused her first ekg, and you had to come back a second time to get it.

David in security, thank you for being cool and professional.
