The older lady as soon as they saw me walking up they started walking away.

Then when I asked for help they had an attitude. Not everyone knows what you know about your food bank.

No one asked you to be a volunteer. No one is forcing you to be there. If you don't like working with people who need help or you have become complacent then just don't go. Let someone who has love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, work there.

I honestly feel some people work in places like this to make themselves feel better about their life.

I felt I need to write a review. I have been going here off and on for past 3 years, as needed. The manners of volunteers and sometimes staff has gone down hill. Yes, I have seen some recipient acting entitled and greedy but does not gives excuse to treat all recipients with disrespectful because of some. Plus, I am on a specific diet due to my health and my other son due to his religion. I noticed that this place does not really accommodate for health reason or religion. Or if the staffs and volunteers chose to ignore these situations. Appreciate if those things are addressed.

I want to share a negative review about your organization. Unfortunately, your attitude towards Ukrainians is very poor. When we come for assistance, we are treated as if we are taking something from your workers. They are so picky and disdainful in their communication with us. If we have come to you, it means we fled from the war and have nothing. They ask why we don't earn money. Try earning money when you don't know English, and no one will hire you because of the language barrier.

When I say I am studying in college to learn English, they ask why I don't go to work. I work, but I would like to work more, but I can't because I don't know English. That's why I am studying in college. I would never come to you if I didn't need food. I came to ask for food, but I am treated as if I am nobody: disrespect, racism, mockery, and picky attitudes. One of your young employees' hands were shaking when she was questioning me. Please review your employees and do not treat people like trash; it is very unpleasant. Try fleeing from a war, not knowing the language, not knowing anything, and coming to ask for food, only to be treated horribly.

We arrived at this organization today and were very upset and in complete shock, a young girl with a very angry tone interrogated us (how we earn money, how much we pay and a bunch of other questions) and aggressively said that only those people who sleep on the street get food here , despite the fact that there were many people nearby who came to this place not in old cars, but in new Mercedes!! Horrible employees, I will never come back here again and I don’t recommend it to others!

They're so bureaucratic that if your situation doesn't fit in their assumed story then you'll get rejected and every stuff shows annoyed instead of sharing your situation. While, many other places are really trying to offer their service to "everyone in need". But of course when you can get the deal, just get it, which is the deal there unlike all the other places in OC.
They really need to clearly tell the public that they are not helping the people in need but they are helping the people that match to their business. (As you can see so many 1⭐ reviews)

Actually they should say clearly from the very beginning that for them to get support from sponsors visitors just need to write less income than CA low income (and verification is not required as far as lower than the criteria), otherwise you'll never get anything, no matter what situation you are struggling in; in other words, even though you're really in need. Like many other 1⭐ reviews this whole place makes visitors understand they're doing their "business" rather than trying to help "people in need."
So never expecting to hear sorry or thank you please be ready to do your business with them if you need to visit this place.
