Azalea City Cat Coalition as a blessing, I understand they are often at capacity but they still took the time to find a foster for these two at my sister's work who almost were ran over. They had no street smarts what so ever and were obviously dumped and sadly that's what people often do in the area but, though they were full, they still took time out of their day to post them to find a foster for them and thanks to them and the wonderful foster who took the fur babies, they arn't going to get ran over, kicked by people, or get hurt in other ways. So thank you for the help we received to get these poor babies off the street and out of harms way.

The lady is SO rude on the phone and back talks you. We have three cats that showed up outdoors that we cannot take in and I offered to drive them here. The lady on the phone was asking me why I can’t take them in and how I need to take more cats into my home and justifying how she has 14 cats. We feed our cats the best of the best and you’d have to be a millionaire to feed 14 cats prime cat food. She was so rude and sounded miserable on the phone. No wonder she has 14 cats and nothing better to do. Don’t start a foundation if you can’t accept cats.

I would like to thank the Azalea City Cat Coalition, their volunteers Heather Moore and Susan, for their assistance with helping us coordinate the rescue of Noah, a elderly community cat that we were feeding at work last year. After many years on the streets in a commercial area, Noah was rescued and spent his final months as a beloved member of our family.
Shortly after Noah's passing Heather Moore and the Azalea City Cat Coalition helped us again to get Nova, a injured cat out of the Mobile County animal shelter. Nova has successfully had her leg amputation surgery and is looking forward to a long healthy life and although Noah can never be replaced Nova is helping our hearts heal from his loss. Thank you again.

Azalea City Cats has been an absolute lifeline in our search for a loving home for our kitten. Their commitment to the well-being of felines is evident in every interaction, and their efforts to ensure each cat finds a suitable family is nothing short of admirable. Susan, in particular, was a delight to communicate with; her responsiveness and friendly demeanor made the process smooth and reassuring. Her dedication and warmth reflect the ethos of Azalea City Cats, and it's comforting to know that there are organizations out there with such passionate individuals at the helm.

I cannot express enough gratitude towards Azalea City Cats for their role in rehoming our kitten. The experience has been seamless and filled with genuine care. This organization's dedication to the welfare of cats and their relentless pursuit of finding them new homes is a testament to their love for animals. Susan's approachable and attentive nature only enhances their mission, making it a pleasure to collaborate with them. Azalea City Cats is a true champion for cats, and their impact on the community is both significant and inspiring.

The Azalea City Cat Coalition is a great rescue group! I’ve found them in 2019 and they have helped me get 4 cats adopted.
I read a few bad reviews which I think are very unjust! This is a small locally owned nonprofit and has made big impacts in Mobile. Completely non profit. The staff are all volunteers, with no pay! They do it for the love of the game. Azalea Cat Coalition is thorough with their background screening and make sure that any rescues, or surrendered pets go to the best home. They believe in spaying and neutering, which I uphold as well.
I have contacted them multiple times whenever I foster (most recently a mom cat and her 2 kittens). During 2022, they were a big help! They couldn’t take that’s cats right away as they were full so they gave me tons of advice and additional information on where to find low cost care.

There are wait times, but that’s to be expected for any rescue group that does not euthanize ! Depending on the season, you have to keep communication via email, messenger, etc.
I think some folks get confused, because animal shelters on TV allow anyone to relinquish/surrender an unwanted pet immediately.
If you are looking to foster with individuals who care, this is the place where you can make a huge difference.

P.S. People need to think of pets like babies. Don’t have one if you can’t care for it for 18 years minimum.

All I can say is my experience with this organization was very positive right from the start. Susan is a blessing I will always be grateful for. Those ladies work tirelessly to help the voiceless and helpless cats in our extremely overpopulated communities. I don't understand the negative reviews but I do understand that some people are too concerned about themselves to give any thought whatsoever to the fact that these amazing ladies are volunteers with lives and issues of their own but they still manage to preserve in their selfless and noble crusade to help these cats. To those people who are so eager to publicly shame these ladies because they were unable to provide you with your desired outcome, why not instead walk a mile? Animal rescue/advocacy is beyond difficult in every way you can imagine. Laws work against those trying to help, and the number of animals in need increases daily. The need is many, while the help is few, so instead of writing a critical review of those who are doing whatever they can to help, how about getting off your butt and jumping in the trenches with them? Then you will understand. These women are amazing, and our communities are blessed to have them. Thank you, ladies! Much love and respect to y'all.. keep saving lives!

Azalea City Cat Coalition has helped me trap 12 cats in my neighborhood, so far. The kitties are spayed/neutered and returned to their environment. They are amazing!

This foster home is a wonderful alternative to other shelters. We even got pictures from them of the kittens.
