Hi my name is Shanna Perkins and I lived in at Maryville girls home I lived there from 1987 to 1990 I really enjoyed living there and I was A straight A student there and I love the School faculty & I really appreciate the house mothers, Monica, Bertha and Arlene."and I still remember them and miss them a lot, and I wanted to thank them for what they had done for me while I was in the program. I wish I would have stayed and not been coerced by my mom to run away to come back home with her!!!! I FEEL In My HEART, & SOUL thst My life would probably have been a lot different," if I Stayed, because I was doing so well there and my mom saw that so she wanted to make sure she stopped that for me I had my first job there and my second job there ever in life it was awesome it was my first opportunity I remember I only made one job I made $2.75 and the other one it was 425 I worked in the kitchen for the one job for one job and the other job I worked with the as an assistant cuz my little sister was over there and would cry for me a lot. When I first arrived there they used to have little boys but shortly after they stopped allowing boys there and only allowed girls to be there. I really remember the nuns there they were awesome there was this one nun that would walk around with her sneakers on wearing her headphones jaming out listen to her music, & dancing around, she used to make me smile and I remember thinking that there could be a chance for me to be happy in my life, which gave me hope, *I TRULY BELIEVED THAT❣️"
If I would have stayed there I also remember a lady named Mary Pickford I don't know about her she just I don't know something about her . All these years I've tried to look for my roommate, Jennifer garlish, but I've never found her and I've always tried to look for her I really miss her and I truly miss the time I spent at Maryville and wish I had a second chance so I could change the decision I made I guess that something I'm just going to have
to always regret and live with. Thank you,, All my LOVE, 💋💔💔💖ONELOVESHANNA💖

Wonderful Early education center. My kids enjoy and feel safe with the team. It is clean and well established; kids have fun too! I would highly recommend to other families in the community.

I grew up at Maryvale. I lived there from the age of 5 until the age of 15. I loved living at Maryvale, it was my home. I was loved and attended good Catholic schools. I can’t say enough good things about the Nuns and house mothers who took care of us.❤️
Picture of myself, sister, friends and our social worker at Maryvale’s pool . I’m the redhead 🧑‍🦰

A. Fredericks - I lived there from the summer of my 3rd grade until my senior year of high school. This was my home and I saw many girls come and go. I lived here the longest of all attending. 1950's to 1970's so this is a very long time. I loved Coyote the big German shepherd dog that love chasing the cars as they entered. I have so many great memories and I had so many good friends.

I love Maryvale and all it stands for. Providing residential treatment for girls who have been thru very rough experiences and cannot be with their birth families. I have a (nrefm) niece/daughter there and am grateful daily such a place exists. They are very caring and fair. It can be rough to not have regular contact with your child, but when the circumstances exist this is a place to be so happy to know of.

Not happy with this place because of the bad things my daughter has learned here. Always waiting past my time, appointments never start at the time they are scheduled. Put onions in everything no options for any other food. Daughter is always hungry. The staff lets parents hear all about their crisis. Too much profanity. More like a prison then a group home.

Maryvale was my home for many years, the 50's thru 1970. I am forever grateful to many Sisters and staff that gave their all to help make Maryvale our home. They had a lot to handle and they did ! Can't imagine what life would have been like without Maryvale, living on the streets.
I'll never forget Sister Gabriella from Seton Cottage and of course Sister Linda Ann, Ms. Kay and the many girls. Thank you Maryvale from the bottom of my heart,❤️

They never pick up the phone and never reply even I leave a message. Not friendly for new student, just told you wait and you never know when can start to school, not allow you to register and also no waiting list, so disappointed!!
