We came on a day that they were not banding, so we were basically by ourselves. The young lady opened up the visitor area, filled us in, and asked us if we had any questions. Nice spot, but we came during the rainy season, so part of the trail was very muddy. Bring a second set of shoes and binoculars, and be prepared for the potholes when you leave the county maintained road.

Such an amazing experience! The researchers are so knowledgeable. We just stumbled upon this little place but it has a beautiful nature trail. Not too strenuous for a pregnant mama! (Thankfully) lots of shade!

If you want to see wild birds up close, this is as close as you can get. The biologists will catch birds every half hour and then show you how to measure stuff on the birds, ID tag them, and release them back.
