great experience at this nonprofit. staff was helpful and insightful. We took our Girl Scout troop to learn and understand the hardships other people go through in other countries. then, the field
got to prep and pack snacks and dry food in boxes, so they put in their volunteer hours

Such a humbling experience for my family and myself. I teared during the encounter tour. Evan was an awesome tour guide. This verse kept resounding in my mind and heart. "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal" Matthew 6:19 . Definitely will be coming to volunteer, and we will budget so that we can donate monthly and prayers for this organization and all involved who are making a difference.

So anointed!!! Volunteering was easy, well explained, and fun! The poverty experience is SO GOOD! If you're considering volunteering here, even if you dont want to put too much effort into volunteering, even if YOU WANT TO PUT A LOT OF EFFORT INTO VOLUNTEERING! It was nice to serve the community through this organization. The leaders were pleasant and helpful. There were about 60 of us volunteers and we packed over 570 food boxes for those in need in LA. Great place to volunteer and make a positive impact in our local community and some parts of the world.
