A great resource for our community. Tuscaloosa has a growing number of children and senior citizens with food insecurities. I enjoy volunteering here to help those who need this service. The food bank always needs help if you ever have time to pitch in.

I must say I am thoroughly impressed with the amount of dedication and hard work these people put in here! Sheldrick and the team all work diligently to supply the needy of West Alabama with food. They handle with Care and make sure that they properly rotate all food stuffs. I have never been amazed as I have been with such a clean facility! They really do take pride in what they do and I am forever grateful. I have pigs and so I come in often to receive donations that otherwise they would have to throw away and go to waste. My pigs love this place hahaha ends up do I :-). I love the way that they distribute all across hours several counties. I noticed that in Coker on Fridays every now and again they have a lot of people lined up receiving the food that they need. Thank you thank you thank you West Alabama Food Bank!

Couldn't ask for any better. We stopped here after hours not knowing, if anyone could be able to help, and they did. Two Great men ( heroes in my book)and Miss Jean wouldn't let it be any other way but to bless our two pups , Bruce and Bear Bear with REAL DOG FOOD!! Never had I seen that. Plus I got a real treat too, some apple fritters! Real great folks helped out with fresh fruit and vegetables, and Resources, prayers as well.. Prayers had to be awfully powerful because we got a call the next morning for my husband and I for us to get on back to AL there was work for us.. we had just enof gasoline to do so.. Thank you ALL SO MUCH ....oxoxox

Very hard to find. No signage anywhere. Automated menu system when you call them gives absolutely NO directions or an.option for directions. Waze sends you into a residential neighborhood not even close. Please use Google Maps to locate the food bank. South on I-69 to 65th Street(which is a regular sized street sign you cannot see when driving on 69 in heavy traffic). NO signage at 65th street to let you know from 69 that you should turn here. Then when you do hopefully find the food bank's location there are again NO signs as to where to drop off your donation. Really? SeriouslyCome on AL Food Bank put up a damn sign to help people know where you are and where at your facility to drop off food donations. It isn't that hard to have 2 signs made up. I like to help out those who are less fortunate but please, please, please make it EASY to do so!

Can get a list of resources here for all local food pantries and aide when your in need. Currently trying to get apartment homeless vet in Tuscaloosa. Sad when you've been through a divorce and credit isn't greatest and can't get any apartments yet after paying $100 your last $100 you had mid month.
