I've been volunteering here for years. They are a great organiztion that does everything from a local weekend nutrition program for local homeless kids to international disaster relief. They truly make an impact.

☆☆☆PLEASE SEE THE END OF REVIEW ON HOW I FAIRLY & ACCURATELY ARRIVED AT A 3-STAR EVALUATION OF THIS CHARITY ORGANIZATION. ☆☆☆

Giving Children Hope [GCH] does alot of good deeds here locally, nationwide and in many parts of the world during the past 20 years. The biggest concern I have is the person the senior management selected to become the current president, i.e. Pete Bowen. My experiences over the past several decades with Mr. Bowen contradicts 99% of the stated goals, values, integrity, transparency and trust of this organization which I have copied and pasted from the website for your convenience:

"We are accountable and transparent with one another, our donors, those we serve, and to God. We will be good stewards with all that is entrusted to us. We will set high expectations and follow through on what is asked of us and be committed to constantly learning and growing, seeking new ideas and learning from our past. To fulfill this promise we will be accountable to our core values and mission statement."

I am truly shocked and baffled why James Wilcox, Chairman of the Board of Directors [BoD] selected Bowen for position?

Because like I stated earlier, he does NOT conduct himself according to the wisdom, values, ethics and leadership skills required to carry out its stated goals and mission that was established by GCH. In fact, I could NOT count on him NOT even once to ever follow through on his promises or commitments. He states and professes to have "Expert" Level "Leadership" and "Ethics" Skills and he may have studied about those topics in some text books, classes, etc. and may be proficient in "THEORIES" but certainly NOT "WISDOM!"

Moreover, in reality, Bowen has demonstrated, repeatedly, he is definitely one of most UNethical and Horrible So-Called "Leaders" I have ever met. He could NOT keep his WORD nor promises on numerous occasions and REFUSED to EVER be HELD ACCOUNTABLE nor ADMIT to being Wrong about his poor ETHICS & LEADERSHIP skills; he acted as a tyrant, dictator, dismissively and refused to EVER take responsibility for his poor decisions

Furthermore, it was ALWAYS some other INNOCENT person's fault!!! BOWEN DEMONSTRATED CONSISTENTLY HE IS INCAPABLE OF TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS RECKLESS AND REPREHENSIBLE ACTIONS & DECISIONS!

For example, he unfortunately hired an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS & CORRUPT "CONMAN" named Jack Conklin who knew engaged in unlawful, illegal, fraudulent and criminal activities for a senior level position for the students as "Safety" Director. It was a Dereliction of his Fuduciary Duties to hire Conklin! Conklin Defrauded Million of Dollars from several hundred-thousand residents/taxpayers of the Cities of Brea and Yorba Linda; was a Dictator who "Invented" his own "Laws" making it instanteously "Illegal" for dozens of 7 year old kids and families to continue to playing soccer and threatened them with arrest/jail if they refused to vacate the public park; fabricated falsified evidence in his Fraudulent Police Report and arrested and incarcerated me with 100% Fictitious Stories he Fabricated/Conspired with the LA County Sheriff's wife in an illegal scheme/plot to lock me up in jail for many many years.

The "BOTTOMLINE" is Bowen has repeatedly demostrated he is INCAPABLE of "Practicing what he Preaches."

☆☆☆ ☆☆ I decided to give 5-Stars for recognition to the thousands of genuinely hardworking workers and volunteers who are truly committed to the Noble Great Causes of GCH and only ☆ 1-Star for the poor decision Mr. Wilcox and Carolyn Corbin, BoD, made In hiring Pete to become the President. So the 2 scores averages out to be a 3-Star Review.☆☆☆

There are a distinct few agencies who take on the difficult needs of our community and GCH is in the top few! They are key in ensuring our community children are fed, offer sundry assistance, and also extend their reach to other areas of the world where relief supplies are needed. Contact them to pitch in your time or monetary support and make a much needed difference!

An extraordinary non-profit. They help feed local children/families and, internationally, they pick up where the Red Cross has to leave off. They absolutely deserve your donations and will put every dollar to good use.

The organization took our hospital bed as a donation when others said they would but later rejected it. When we delivered it, we found a bustle of people working hard for a great cause. I will be dropping off items all year long to help as I can.

seriously this organization is helping People that has money they supposedly help People that realy need help. we have a program that is call back pack club at my kids school we are poor we need that help but this People in charge are helping others is sad when they told my wife no u can get nothing from here and we see People with shopping cars full of stuff and they are driving expensive cars i see it every time. or this lady in the register helping her friends only given them free stuff and she know is true sad sad
