If this has the option of zero stars that's what my rating would be. Not a friendly church whatsoever. They are very clicky and push you out if you don't "fit in" their standard. The pastor is not forth coming with those he hires. He lies about what pay will be, but puts the blame on that person when they are upset and confronts him. He then pushes them out and makes it seem like they left rather than something he's done. The pastor lied to my husband and I and pinned us against each other. He would speak to us separately instead of together and tell us each a different story. Many church members that knew about what happened put the blame on me for not being able to let go being lied to when hired. I kept thinking why am I wrong when he was the liar? And we never even got an apology. Just told at one point to find another church. God is not in this church because God can not be where lies are.

My family and I first came to LVBC in 2001. The Church has grown a lot since then. Pastor Collins preached the Word of God without excuse then and I'm sure he is still doing it now. His wife is a great woman of God and a tremendous blessing. This is one of the best Churches I've ever attended. Highly recommend!!!

Very disheartening and disappointing. Pastor has been spoken to many times regarding information cards having been filled out but no one is reading hem. After months of attendance, and numerous requests for a pastoral call, the pastor finally called me. I was informed that this congregation is " a volunteer organization" and that he couldn't " make anyone do anything" ( responding to an urgent request for help from a child of God truly in a state of great need), and that he would " do his best". Since that time the pastor has , I believe, deliberately avoided any further conversation with me despite the fact that the request that was made was completely reasonable. Most congregations have some kind of pastoral care, at the least , for their " members". It is sad to see that the only congregation in this town that I was told was scripturally based, refused to live out the Scripture it professed to be following. I hope and pray that anyone reading this review who deigns to attend this " church" will be forewarned, and will pray for this group, many of whom are apparent narcissists. They need prayer and a major revival. I would be happy to furnish the scriptural basis for this review. It is not given flippantly or lightly. Some day, someone is going to be in a desperate state, ask for help, be ignored or pushed aside ( as I and others have been because of not " playing the game" )and it will result in a suicide or worse. Until it happens to someone prominent enough, I fear that this congregation will remain in it's own little group of cliques until a major wake up call occurs. I pray others will come forward with an honest review on the sad state of hypocrisy and ignoring those truly in need ( not the manipulating, game playing derelicts that often scam " church people") who approach the Church at large and are turned away.
There are a few of us like myself who care. Do not judge all believers and followers of Jesus by the Matthew 23 hypocrites.

I have been coming to this church for 16 years and I would not recommend attending this so called "Christian Church" ever since I had attended the school here, there has been a very toxic environment! These grown adults here have done nothing but judged me and antagonizes me and everytime they told me to go to them for my problems they have done nothing but pushed me away and made me feel so miserable. No matter how many times I came to this church to hear what God has to tell me EVERYONE THERE ALWAYS HAS SOMETHING TO SAY RIGHT BEHIND MY BACK AND NOTHING TO MY FACEE!! They try to brainwash you into believing EVERYTHING that comes out of there miserable mouth instead of the bible. I would not recommend this cult that they consider a "church" and I prey that nobody has to experience anything that I went through here!!!!

We came out to Lompoc to attend our family friends' wedding and looked for a I.F.B. church and found this one. The people were friendly and greeted us as soon as we arrived. Very friendly and very family oriented. Someone in another posting said this place is a cult; I would whole heartedly disagree with their statement. This church is very Biblical from listening to their music and preaching. The message was clearly from the Bible and I felt the pastor gave us the bread that our spirit needed. Too many churches are trying to go the way of the world, but the world is corrupt due to man's influence and guidance (just as are allot of the differentversions of the bible). Whereas the Bible is the truth and bread we need for our spirit (bread for our soul). We need to be challenged by God's word, not just come just for socializing. So if you get offended, the Holy Spirit is pointing out my flaws, your flaws, everyone's flaws, which more than likely is the sin in ourselves. The Pastor gave the word on Psalms 51. Where David knew he had to remove the sin in his life before trying to make things better with the world. I will definitely be going back to this church if I visit Lompoc. I'd give 8 stars if I could. God's word needs to be given, the feel good word and the hurtful word. Otherwise when will you be challenged to change that disgusting SIN from one's life. Yes I'm still a sinner, we all are! But my sins are forgiven when I meaningfully repent and attempt not to sin. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. This is part of His great commission - Share the good news to ALL that have not heard.

After being there for 7 years, i have seen the people that were put in charge turn the church into no longer a church but a colt leading place brainwashing people and making them feel bad if they did something that people there didn’t like. The school is even worst, they force you into wearing what you don’t want to wear and force you to take classes you don’t want to take even when you already took that class. They lie to you and make you seem as if your the bad person if you don’t agree with them just to make their IMAGE look good. They say that “Love God, Love People” but i don’t see or feel any God in that church and i don’t feel loved or see love in that church. They will treat you different if you are different. They will go out their way to find the worst part of you and then blast it in front of the church. It may not be when the dude that is supposed to be the “Pastor” is behind the popet but it is at events after church during church and even behind doors at the church this place is an emotional wreck. They are miserable people that prey on happy people to make them miserable as well,. They don’t teach from the bible but from their own opinions. They try to manipulate you jnto staying with them but once you aren’t blind by their fakeness you will see how much they are trying to hide and that they are more of image not of the bible. Want a place to be emotionally traumatized then go to this place. Want to traumatize your children put them in the school. I’m glad i’m out of this CULT! yeah

I love this church. They are non-judgmental and sincere in their desire to help the community and see souls saved. They have never ostracized me or my family, even though we are not your typical Christian family. As with everywhere, there are one or two bad apples, but those bad apples aren't even that bad. There was one woman who she took adavantage until they couldn't help her anymore but thankfilly for us/sadly for the next church she moved on to her next victim. Anyway, this church is great.
