Best care ever and my best nurses in the world. I was so grateful for all the care I received… So thankful for all of them, I was hospitalized for almost 2 months and was very sad to have been discharged. Because they were like family and loved them all, I do miss them.❤️❤️❤️

My experience, you wanna know first foot surgery last February, Foot ended up worse than what it was then had another surgery in October and that left my foot even worse from the beginning. I should’ve left my foot alone and not even done. Nothing, now. I feel it’s getting close to losing my job because I can’t fulfill my duties because of the severe pain in my left foot, and nothing could be done about it so bottom line it sucks to be me! first two pictures are from first surgery. Next one is after the second. And the fourth picture shows how bad it is now

The Operator Phone System is the absolute worst.
VA decided to use a private company, who took on all the Veterans that worked the phones, then fired them. The phone workers now don't care about Vets.
So if you don't know an extension, good luck. The operators will either, give you the wrong extension after waiting for 12 minutes, never answer, or just hang up on you after waiting 12 minutes.
VA could have a phone directory to look up extensions online like its 2012, but that would mean they would care about us.

The doctors once you get to the hospital are great...

How do you people sleep at night? Yet another Veteran took his life due to depression and lack of resources. Bryan Hereida, wherever you work, you should be ashamed of yourself!!! I pray to God mercy on all the people who play with human life the way you all do. Veterans deserve more than anyone else good healthcare and help in everything.
Despicable the way the VA treats people. I've seen this go on for over 10 years....it's sickening. 😥😥😥

This VA does not care about veterans! I had an emergency visit due to a possible heart attack . I need a stress test asap ! I’ve called the VA here like 7 times , no one returns my calls , they never leave messages . There’s always one excuse after another that their nurses will get back to me , they all should be fired ! They could care less about veterans . I’ve even called patient advocates several times , they put me on hold for like 40 min and then they hang up on me . This facility is atrocious ! They should be ashamed .

So, my eye appointment was at 7:30am. All I needed was to drop off my prescription to get new glasses. I arrived and checked in at 7:24. While waiting I see the staff walking in chit chatting, one went back out to grab a soda from somewhere, while the others were laughing, talking about football and for what it seemed to be just goofing around and taking their time getting ready to receive patients. It is now 7:49 and they still haven’t called anyone back. This is unacceptable because I honored my appointment time but the clinic staff and VA system did not honored their commitment. Has it ever occurred to them that some VA members still have jobs and other obligations to tend to after the appointment?
They should not have scheduled a 7:30 appointment if they are not going to honor it. It’s now 7:53 and they are now just calling the first patient.
VA, you need to improve this issue…if you expect patients to be on time, then the system should be better and do the same at all costs.

So apparently having an appointment didn’t matter. They called back 2 of the walk-in’s and I’m still waiting almost an hour @ 8:20am.

So 8:28 and they called back someone with an appointment @8:00. So I’m now steaming and inquiring why I’m not being called. One guy said I’m not in the system, and for me to go check in again. When back to check in and she said that I am already in the system and checked in. OMG! These fools... Now they’re running around blaming each other for their lack of competency. So damn mad right now…
OMG! Finally being seen @ 8:43 am. I should’ve jus gone to an outside facility.

Unprofessional Call center rep MARCIA answered, then said one moment, she thought she put me on hold. As I heard her talking about creamer and what type of pods they have and saying thank you baby…and then some etc.

Then once MARCIA was ready from her personal agenda she returned to the call.

Apparently, their is lack of regard for veterans on the phone waiting versus coffee condiments, or their is just lack of respect from the top management in how leisurely call reps are permitted to conduct themselves.

Supervisor Deborah Howard stated she would pull and listen to the call.

I stand by my words and what I experienced.

Unfortunate, grown adult workers of the VA LOMA LINDA call center cannot provide a simple service.

My grandfather spent the last week of his life here. He was first admitted to the emergency room, from there to the ICU, to the community living center and finally in palliative care. I was able to see a lot of the hospital and meet a lot of people here.
Some people were kind and helpful, others not so much.

My biggest complaint is that they need to figure out a better way for people to visit relatives that are dying. I spent hours each day sitting in a plastic chair in the hallway waiting to see my grandfather only to be told that they forgot about me. Two days in a row I waited two hours just to be allowed to see him for 30 minutes (until he went to the community living center - then we were given unlimited amount of time).

Some workers were helpful, especially Erik that does the Covid checks when you first enter. He was the only one that actually put an effort in for us to be able to see my grandfather.
