I arrived shortly after opening on a rainy day. I've tried to get assistance here now 3 times for my daughter. Each time after waiting, I was turned away by a technical issue at the window. Then after waiting for well after 45min to an hour they will tell you the wait is not that long. I worked in Social Security prior, and this office has a very bad reputation. I definitely don't think anything has improved. Beyond frustrated and now will have to go back AGAIN. I think I will make the drive to a different location tomorrow and get what I need actually done by what I think will be helpful people. Goodluck!

Edit: Just saw a review from another dad trying to do the same thing, same exact issues. When it's not just one person facing the same issues on the same problem......

I have been approved to become my own payee through the administration. I'm grateful this agency made the change.

However it's August 30 2024. My money is not in my account which was set for direct deposit.

Shouldn't social security income checks be in by today since the 1st is on a Sunday?

I have been trying to call to see what is going on but Jennifer, who is from this office,has yet to return my calls. I have called multiple times since Monday morning requesting a call back.

I like them and I realize that they are busy, however, having someones direct line should be speeding up the long process of waiting for hours on the phone with the national registration.

The national registration I've called has actually returned my calls which is nice,but also ludicrous. They usually take longer than a local agency.

They definitely need more employees or something.

I went in on a Monday at 3pm, as soon as I got off of work, and I was out in 20 minutes! I just went in for a name change due to marriage and filled out the paperwork online. It was pretty busy in there so I thought it would be awhile so I was pleasantly surprised by the speed with which I was able to complete my request! The security guard and the associate who helped me were polite, efficient and professional.

This is not a reflection on the actual office but on trying to get an appointment for this office. After filling out the online application to change my name, due to marriage, it directs you to make an appointment for the local office. I called the 800 number and was on hold for 40 minutes to be told that I have to call another number, which they gave me, for the local office. Then, after being on hold for 9 minutes, I was told that you do not make an appointment for this service, you just walk in! When I explained what I had just been through the woman just replied " Sorry. I don't know why they don't know that you don't need an appointment." Typical government agency, one department has no idea what another is doing.
Maybe offer to have your manager get in touch with someone at the 800 number so this doesn't continue?

All I am trying to do is get a replacement SS card I am a permanent resident I have a very old expired “green card “ I have already filed and paid to update with USCIS and received a I-797 notice of action I also have a current DL a foreign birth certificate and a foreign passport used when I was 5 years old to enter the United States with my parents in 1969 and I have never left the United States. And I am still denied a replacement social security card.

I went there today and the security guard helped me check I'm not computer savy he was truly a blessing really nice man then I got called to the window and I got Vanessa and she was very professional Lady she help
me finish my paper work it was all a great experience I want to thank everyone one there.
