If you ever have a chance to tour or volunteer take it! This is an amazing place that serves the 1 of 7 people who are food insecure in San Diego.

This is an easy way to serve my “fellow man” locally. The process and place is organized and continually streamlined for the best workflows with a volunteer workforce. The people are nice and show and teach a sense of purpose. The work really helps people too.
I hope the people there to work off their court-imposed community service get more out of it than just “doing their time” too.

My son and I volunteered at the Mira Mesa facility and it was a great experience. We chose to pack boxes for seniors, and our group did over 600 boxes. The staff and process were well organized and made it fun. It was a good feeling to help so many people.

Back in from the cul de sac, annoying if cars park in front of the docks, but one extra star for fast unloading and appointments only.
