The rooms at Libertine Lindenberg are small but cute and pretty comfortable. Overall, I thought it was a decent value for the price, but a few words of warning:

-Noise: as some reviews have stated, you do hear a decent amount of noise from the bars outside. That didnā€™t really bother us as it wasnā€™t all that loud, but if youā€™re a light sleeper it might bother you.

-Staffing: thereā€™s essentially no staff here. Itā€™s entirely possible to check yourself in and out without coming across a human being who works for the hotel, so if something goes wrong, youā€™re essentially on your own.

-Security: the building has very lax security. You donā€™t need a hotel key to use the elevator and the front door is always open, so just about anyone can walk in off the street and access any floor without a problem.

-Parking: if youā€™re arriving by car, be very careful ā€” the signs outside are really confusing, and our car wound up getting towed. And because of the aforementioned lack of staffing at the hotel, thereā€™s no one on site to tell you where you can and canā€™t park. Use a ā€œparkplatzā€ nearby.

We had an unexpected stay in Frankfurt due to a travel mishap - but were so warmly welcomed by the lovely staff at this hotel we immediately forgot the stress of it all. The lobby is charming, the breakfast terrific (really, who knew vegan croissants could be so perfect?) and the location ideal. Thank you for the hospitality!

Gem of a hotel, situated in a perfect spot to nestle into the old Apple District or to cross the river to the Altstadt. There are plenty of pubs and cozy restaurants in this little area to choose from, and on Saturday night when we were here it was lively well into the wee hours of the morning. However, the thick and well insulated walls of our room meant we heard none of it, even with our window ajar. Nice thick towels, comfy bedding and well appointed with toiletries. The staff we interacted with were so friendly and helpful! The light breakfast was delicious, too. Lovely stay!

Terrible place. Rooms are located over the Irish bar and many more around, it's super noisy every night until 3 AM. Rooms have no AC, and it's getting extra hot inside, you literally can not stay inside and can not open windows due to noise levels. Just avoid this place if you want to sleep at night.

Happy with our stay here! A small pretty hotel with a nice atmosphere and boutique feeling. It is located in a lively area (bars and pubs), however closing the windows blocks most of the sound. The 3 of us booked a room with a double bed and a very nice extra bed. Very nice interior!

The staff was very friendly. However we barely saw them since thereā€™s no reception. This made the check-in a little tricky, but manageable šŸ™‚

Arrived to the hotel to be met by construction work in the entrance. Had to go through an unsafe place to get into the hotel. |Went out that evening and when we came back at 2am couldnā€™t get into the hotel. There was apparently an electrical problem. They have a phone number to call for issues with the electronic door but no one answered or returned our message/calls.|After 1.5hrs we found another hotel and went and stayed there. |This hotel has not reimbursed us for the loss caused by them not having night staff. Even though they agreed that this happened and is there failing. We have provided them with receipts for the other hotel.

This was my second visity to the Libertine. It is a wonderful boutique hotel in a vibrant part of the city. The hotel team are lovely people and know a lot about the city. The rooms are beautifully designed, with comfortable beds and plenty of space.||The hotel occasiaonlly hosts live events, during my latest visit there was a small concert in the recording studio. You would not hear this in your room. ||The only downside is the tiny bathroom sincs & lack of counter space in the bathroom. ||Please note, it can get quite noisy on weekend evenings if you room is facing the square.

Super noisy room!
It was impossible to sleep and you could hear people talking outside (closed windows, non the less)
On top of that a really early checkout time! We had to leave by 1030am.

Rooms are nice and fancy, but Iā€™d rather stay in a hotel a little less fancy if I can actually sleep!

Never again!
