Cool spot on Commercial Drive with a top floor patio. Generous happy hour selections and a few tasty bites. Definitely get the chips and dip as it’s delicious and a favourite of mine.

While the spot is cool, it does seem to take a bit before you get your drink orders, not sure if it’s just busy or just getting ready to start for the day.

Overall, cool spot to pass some time, grab some drinks and a quick snack with friends.

I was looking for a nice place to have a glass (or more) of wine and a snack. This was my first visit to Social and I was not disappointed. They were able to seat me right away on the top floor. It was a very rainy cold day but they had heaters on so the window seat was still nice. I was there for happy hour, the happy hour menu was pretty extensive for both drinks and food. I ended getting the charcuterie board. The meats, cheeses and sides were fresh and delicious. The service was excellent, everyone was friendly and attentive. I look forward to returning.

We visited the establishment on a Thursday evening for their happy hour offerings. They were able to accommodate our group of five on the rooftop, which had a cozy atmosphere and a pleasant vibe. The service was great, with two attentive servers ensuring that we had everything we needed.

Regarding the culinary aspect, we decided to sample a variety of dishes, including the tuna tatake, beet salad, butternut squash ravioli, chicken sando, tuna taco, truffle fries, and the cold peanut satay noodles. While the dishes were satisfactory, they did not exceed our expectations or leave a particularly memorable impression. However, their cocktails were pretty good though. We ordered cloud 10 and the social pups.

Service, atmosphere, and drinks were great, but the food could've been better.

Overall, fantastic place. We had a reservation on the patio, which provided a cozy atmosphere. Our waitress was super kind and welcoming. The food was delicious. We took advantage of the shareables to try several of the dishes. The lychee sour is sooo good. I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Enjoyed being outside on the patio under umbrellas. Downsides: when the sun started to set and it got windy, there were no heaters or blankets available. The tables are coffee table height so it’s not a surface you want to bend over for long periods for eating.

Food choices were excellent and prices to be expected. I found the poke bowl to have a beautiful presentation and array of items in the bowl, however there was too much sauce as it was very salty. Everything looked fresh and beautiful.

Very friendly server who talked to us very naturally and socially.

Decided to go to Social for their happy hour and loved their patio. It reminded me so much of the patio in Miami (South Beach).

Ordered edamame and loved the sesame mayo that came with the edamame. It was so unique that I suspect they made their own mayo. It was also very big portion. Ordered cerviche which was filled with large pieces of shrimp. Very delicious. Also had their happy hour burger. Wow. A very nice burger. The bacon jam and crispy toasted bun and aioli was EXCELLENT. Would definitely come here again at to try their other food. Delicious food and great atmosphere.

I booked in advance for a patio seating during a sunny day for Happy Hour. When I arrived, the hostess put me in a spot where the sun was literally shining on your face. As much as I love the sun, I didn't want to potentially get a sunburn, so I asked if I could switch spot. However, she said other empty tables & booths have been reserved by other people. (I am pretty sure when you made reservation, there wasn't an option as to which table you want to sit) so I am surprised she wasn't being flexible. When asked if I could at least turned my chair the other way, she said unfortunately no, due to the spacing (perhaps the waitress might not have enough space to walk around?) but I was very certain, there would still have space.

Luckily, another server at the patio was very understanding and helped us asked the hostess again and finally we were able to move to another table before the food arrive. *Note: one of the empty tables was empty the whole time, she could have easily switch me at the beginning.

The food was pretty good for Happy Hour, I would say the price is a bit expensive. We ordered Ahi Tuna Sushi Taco, Taco with braised beef, Chicken Karaage Bao, Ravioli Prawn Trio, Chicken Wings & Social Dumplings. The highlights were: Ahi Tuna Sushi Taco, Ravioli and Chicken Wings. I would stay away from the dumplings. They felt like Costco dumplings.

The ambience was very chic and cute.

We ordered the sushi tacos, chicken kaarage baos, trio shrimp ravioli, truffle fries, and chicken sando. I thought the food was mediocre. It sort of tasted like something from the freezer section. Each dish had a strange combination of flavors, and meat was dry and tough. My favorite was the shrimp ravioli. The sandwich buns were soaked from the coleslaw dressing. A very disappointing food experience. The server was friendly and attentive.
