This was my church for 25 years, and I put a lot of money into it, but no more. My family was Methodist as far back as I know, probably to John Wesley, but I cannot abide by their new policies. I believe it's perfectly acceptable for gay people to attend church, like all other sinners. My problem is when their sin is patronized and enabled. We don't have keg parties for alcoholics, or poker night for gamblers, so why allow gay clergy or marriage? Not to mention they made this change with ZERO input from the congregation. You might try Ross Bridge or Vestavia INDEPENDENT Methodist churches instead. I've been going to The Station in Bessemer.

The good folks of Pleasant Hill, have opened their doors, and hospitality to our Boy Scout Troop (271) Lafayette, LA on multiple occasions, when we traveled through Bessemer, AL on our way to Summer Camp at Woodruff Scout Reservation.

This church took me and my family in when we were forced to leave the only church I had ever belonged to. No one not even once crossed their eyes at us! They've always treated us like we were finally where we were meant to be! At that point in my life, that's exactly what I needed! And we continue to be blessed there!! Would encourage all to come!!

They offer a childcare program, Parents Day Out, that both of my granddaughters have gone to and we have nothing but good things to say. Godly people, serving and teaching our babies.

Seems like a good church to me, I don't attend there but have been to several conferences and meetings there.
