After reading the reviews, I was hoping communication with our local NAMI organization had improved. Unfortunately that is not the case. I left messages at the president's phone number and the office at Hill Country 2 weeks ago and no return phone call from anyone. This is so disappointing, especially in times such as these. NAMI Shasta County also has a Facebook page, but when you click on their website it is a dead link. I plan to call the national number or try to attend a meeting via Zoom in another county.

I am the president of NAMI Shasta County. I'm sorry your phone call wasn't returned. We are all volunteers and sometimes we don't get back to people as quickly as we should. Please give us another chance. We've been meeting our goal of returning calls within 24 hours recently.
We are not an urgent or emergency services provider. We offer education, support, advocacy along with resource referral for people who have a mental illness and their loved ones.

NAMI Shasta County is a wonderful organization. The volunteers are often family members and loved ones who are currently dealing with chronic mental health issues with their loved ones. Go to their Family Support group on the first and third Tuesday at the Hill Care Center. Blessings to this organization.

Left a message. They say they are volunteer and would call. A week later no call. Not really helpful. Life upside down seeking help. Typical Redding
