Came here to find resources to provide as an assignment for my psych class and there was no answer in the middle of the day. The place is hidden. It’s labeled as a family crisis center, I’d imagine if someone does have a crisis they would not receive services here. Good luck to those in need.

PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING ASSISTANCE
This Project seems it could be big help to some but I guess it depends on who’s on your case. Me and my partner are currently Homeless and in this Project for sometime they are supposed to help with assisting us to secure a place of living.
First it started off nice they seem to eager to help and that they would do what was needed to help you get into a place as soon as possible. The first caseworker we had never returned our calls or messages. We never heard from her unless she needed some papers sign then we just meet at random areas to sign papers and go.
We did request a new caseworker and received one hoping now that we can get get the ball rolling since we have found places but then lost them due to having to wait for the caseworker to respond back or the so called“Emergency Assistance” To assist us.
If you are thinking of joining this project please be ready to feel you have no support or help. And make sure the places your looking at is willing to wait at least 3 weeks or more to receive any payment from them for even just application fees.

I have 10 pages to say about this organization and after I speak with my attorney on Thursday, I’m going to post small but for now I’m gonna say that what they’re doing it should be a crime. I’ve never so poorly! I will say this much I believe that the minute I walked in and I called staff speaking with a client about another client. I believe that was the beginning of a breach of confidentiality, and that these people need to learn the difference between someone breaching confidentiality, and someone being stalked.

I am astonished!!!! Absolutely despicable and inhumane treatment. As a client for a second year of the accountant, helping with free tax prep, I had an appointment at 2 pm. Came few minutes prior, taking few buses, which took me two and a half hours. Upon arrival I was told I am not allowed to use the restroom, because I am a new?! client?! I asked can they sign me up, they said they can't, since they have a waiting list?! and scheduled few people at the same time for the appointment with my accountant, and it would be possibly hours wait. I begged them to use the restroom, I really needed it after the long time on buses. They said absolutely no. I did not know the neighberhood and it did not look particularly safe, but I needed to walk blocks to find a take out place that finally allowed me to use theirs, even though I am not their customer. Ridiculous!!!!! Their representative need to be fired and NEVER work with human beings again! I never been so humiliated in my life.

Be careful ladies and children of going into a place or facility that you go to for help or thinking that you are going here for help.., but agencies like these can really have negative effects on you and your children and family dynamic. Do not trust the workers no matter how nice they seem , and be careful in general of disclosing your past or family business. Overall just be very very cautious after you walk in the door of your every step because sometimes workers in these places can make false reports against you and your children and they are barely trained in social services. Good luck to all ladies and victims of domestic violence.

This shelter is horrible they have bed bugs at the la location, when addressing the issue it took them forever to take action, & after they so called sprayed me and my poor children continued to get bit up. There is alot of favoritism & racism with in the staff, staff gossip about other clients business to other clients whom they favor, lack of professionalism, the onsite therapist tells all the staff your business when she is supposed to be held to a higher moral standard. Most of the staff lack empathy and emotion toward your delicate situation. I would not recommend anyone to seek safety at this location, they are also obligated to provide food weekly for clients and clients went weeks with no food & were told to use their EBT, which not all clients received. I am still looking into filing a grievance on this shelter, WOMEN WHO ARE DV SURVIVORS are supposed to be treated with respect and lead to feel safe not feel anxiety of the staffs cruel intensions. My advise to anyone who is forced to attend this shelter is beware and keep a note of every wrong acct you encounter.

This place is absolutely the worst for DV assistance, the staff who works here are extremely incompetent and unorganized. They also nag you a lot when you have a job, almost as tho they just dont believe you are working. You’re supoosed to feel safe but I did not feel safe here at all. Lots of bad energy and staff even spread rumors about you to other clients so the clients dont get along & go against the facility and file a grievance to stop funding to the facility. The beds they provide clients literally feel like you are sleeping outside on the ground. Theres ants, roaches and bed bugs everywhere. The place smells horrible stinks like fish & meldew throughout the entire house. I know people are scared and really need help from DV but this is definitely not the place to go.
